Herbal Medicine

Chinese herbs have been used for thousands of years. Their efficacy was determined by trial and error, sometimes to the demise of the herbalist doing the trials. After thousands of years, every herb and food have been found to contain unique properties and characteristics that can stimulate, or sedate, the acupuncture channels that need to be balanced according to Traditional Chinese medicine philosophy. Because of this, certain foods or herbs can be recommended in order to enhance or maintain positive energy flow in the acupuncture meridians that we stimulate with needles. 

Herbs can be taken many ways including pills, teas, soaks, and washes. Herbs are very useful in a number of skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and can be very useful from sinus conditions to wound healing. Patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment can greatly benefit from the use of herbs. Symptoms such as nausea, anxiety, and fatigue can be greatly reduced or managed.
